It is stated in 2003-2004 National Programme for Equal Opportunities for Women and Men, approved by Resolution No 712 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania on 3 June 2003, that violence against women both in public and private life constitutes violation of human rights and is a major obstacle for implementing gender equality.

The implementation of the Strategy's Action Plan was continued in 2009. 16 measures under the Strategy were implemented: 9 by the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, 3 by the Police Department under the Ministry of the Interior, 1 by the Ministry of Culture, 1 by the Ministry of Justice, and 1 by the Department of Statistics under the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.

The list of criteria for qualifying a monetary transaction as suspicious was updated on 22 July 2004 when the Government of the Republic of Lithuania adopted its Resolution No 929 " On the Amendment of Resolution No 1411 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania of 6 September 2002 " On the Approval of Criteria for Qualifying a Monetary Transaction as Suspicious. "

The programme provides for organisation of competitions for Roma on prevention of psychoactive drugs' use, implementation of measures targeted at the reduction of demand for and supply of drugs and psychothropic substances among Roma population. The body in charge of implementation of these measures is the Drug Control Department under the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
ذلك أن البرنامج ينص على تنظيم مسابقات للروما بشأن منع استخدام المؤثرات (المخدرات) العقلية، وتنفيذ التدابير الهادفة إلى الحد من الطلب على المخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية ومن المعروض منها في صفوف فئة الروما، الهيئة المكلفة بتنفيذ هذه التدابير هي إدارة مكافحة المخدرات التابعة لحكومة جمهورية ليتوانيا.

As part of implementing measures under the Programme of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania for 2008-2012 approved by Resolution No. 189 of 25 February 2009 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, a draft Law on Remuneration for Workers of State and Municipal Institutions of the Republic of Lithuania is underway (preliminary date of entry into force -- 2011).
