79. The SBI initiated its consideration of modalities for expediting the establishment of eligibility for Annex I Parties with commitments for the second commitment period whose eligibility has not yet been established, in accordance with decision 1/CMP.8, paragraph 16.

50. CMP 8 clarified that Annex I Parties with commitments for the second commitment period are eligible to transfer and acquire ERUs valid for the second commitment period as of 1 January 2013.
50- وأوضح مؤتمر الأطراف/اجتماع الأطراف في دورته الثامنة أن الأطراف المدرجة في المرفق الأول التي لديها التزامات لفترة الالتزام الثانية تكون مؤهلة لنقل حيازة واحتياز وحدات خفض الانبعاثات الصالحة لفترة الالتزام الثانية، اعتباراً من 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 2013().

48. CMP 8 clarified that Annex I Parties with commitments for the second commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol whose eligibility has been established in the first commitment period are eligible to transfer and acquire ERUs valid for the second commitment period as of 1 January 2013.
