3.2 He also claims that his ill-treatment at the police station and in prison amounted to torture aimed at obtaining a confession, in violation of the article 15 of the Convention.

In addition, it stated that a claim made by the victim's husband that he had been ill-treated in 2004 while trying to establish the status of the investigation was sent to a district prosecutor in the Grozny district.

2.3 On 12 October 2006, after approximately 16 months of detention and alleged mistreatment at Camp Cropper, the author was presented, along with five other defendants, to the Central Criminal Court of Iraq ( " CCCI " ) to face charges for alleged involvement in the kidnapping.
