The meeting underlined the current relevance of the Declaration on the Right to Development, the importance of renewing political commitment to its realization and overcoming the political impasse, in particular in the light of the popular uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa.
وأكد الاجتماع على الأهمية الحالية للإعلان بشأن الحق في التنمية وعلى أهمية تجديد الالتزام السياسي لإعماله والخروج من المأزق السياسي، لا سيما في ضوء الانتفاضات الشعبية في الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا.

The text of the current draft resolution highlighted in particular the commemoration in 2011 of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Declaration on the Right to Development.
ويلقي نص مشروع القرار الحالي الضوء بوجه خاص على الاحتفال في عام 2011 بالذكرى الخامسة والعشرين للإعلان بشأن الحق في التنمية.

14. In December 2011, OHCHR gave a presentation on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Declaration on the Right to Development at an event organized jointly by the Australian Council for International Development and the United Nations Information Centre in Canberra.
14- وفي كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2011، قدمت مفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان عرضاً بمناسبة الذكرى السنوية الخامسة والعشرين للإعلان بشأن الحق في التنمية في حدثٍ نظمه المجلس الأسترالي للتنمية الدولية بالتعاون مع مركز الأمم المتحدة للإعلام في كانبيرا.

19.8 This part of the subprogramme will pursue a multidimensional strategy to support the implementation of the right to development in accordance with the Declaration on the Right to Development and subsequent mandates and the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action. The Strategy will focus on:

12. In December 2011, OHCHR organized in New York an expert roundtable in commemoration of the anniversary of the Declaration on the Right to Development on the theme " People at the centre: human rights in global economics and development " , opened by Nobel Laureate economist Joseph Stiglitz.
12- وفي كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2011، نظمت مفوضية حقوق الإنسان في نيويورك اجتماع مائدة مستديرة للخبراء بمناسبة الاحتفال بالذكرى السنوية للإعلان بشأن الحق في التنمية عن موضوع " البشر أولى بالاهتمام: حقوق الإنسان في الاقتصاديات والتنمية على الصعيد العالمي " ، افتتحها الأخصائي الاقتصادي جوزيف ستيغليتس الحائز على جائزة نوبل().
