The mandate to build a comprehensive and sustainable system-wide financial data and reporting system on United Nations operational activities is firmly anchored in the provisions of resolution 62/208 on the triennial comprehensive policy review on funding for operational activities of the United Nations development system, which provides a policy context for the data requirements for the system.
