1. The present statement was made in accordance with rule 153 of the rules of procedure of the General Assembly and rule 75 of the rules of procedure of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption.

7. In accordance with rule 103 of the rules of procedure of the General Assembly and rule 5 of the rules of procedure of the Advisory Committee, at its 1st meeting, on 2 August 2010, the Advisory Committee elected the following officers by acclamation:

In accordance with rule 135 of the rules of procedure of the General Assembly and rule 59 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Security Council, the Secretary-General has the honour to circulate herewith the application of the Kingdom of Tonga for admission to membership in the United Nations, contained in a letter dated 8 July 1999 from the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence of the Kingdom of Tonga to the Secretary-General.
وفقا للمادة ١٣٥ من النظام الداخلي للجمعية العامة والمادة ٥٩ من النظام الداخلي المؤقت لمجلس اﻷمن، يتشرف اﻷمين العام بأن يعمم طيه طلب مملكة تونغا الانضمام إلى عضوية اﻷمم المتحدة، الوارد في رسالة مؤرخة ٨ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٩ وموجهة إلى اﻷمين العام من وزير الخارجية والدفاع بمملكة تونغا.

15. If in the first ballot in either the General Assembly or the Security Council no candidate receives an absolute majority, a second ballot will be held and balloting will continue in the same meeting until a candidate has obtained the required majority (rule 151 of the rules of procedure of the Assembly and rule 61 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Council).
١٥ - واذا لم يحصل أي مرشح على اﻷغلبية المطلقة في الاقتراع اﻷول سواء في الجمعية العامة أو مجلس اﻷمن، يجرى اقتراع ثان وتستمر الاقتراعات في الجلسة نفسها الى أن يحصل مرشح على اﻷغلبية المطلوبة )المادة ١٥١ من النظام الداخلي للجمعية العامة والمادة ٦١ من النظام الداخلي المؤقت لمجلس اﻷمن(.

16. 12 - وإذا أسفر الاقتراع الأول في الجمعية العامة أو مجلس الأمن عن حصول أقل من خمسة مرشحين على أغلبيات مطلقة، سيجرى اقتراع ثان ويستمر الاقتراع في الجلسة نفسها إلى أن يحصل خمسة مرشحين على الأغلبية المطلوبة (المادة 151 من النظام الداخلي للجمعية العامة والمادة 61 من النظام الداخلي المؤقت لمجلس الأمن).
