It had before it the joint report prepared by the Open Geospatial Consortium, Technical Committee 211 of the International Organization for Standardization, and the International Hydrographic Organization on implementation and adoption of standards for the global geospatial information community.

The report highlights that, in various intergovernmental discussions, the need for a statement of ethics and supporting code of conduct for the global geospatial information community has been raised as an important means to enhance the trust placed by the public on geospatial information.
ويبرز التقرير أنه أثيرت، في مختلف المناقشات الحكومية الدولية، ضرورة وجود بيان للأخلاقيات ومدونة قواعد سلوك داعمة للدوائر العالمية المعنية بالمعلومات الجغرافية المكانية بوصفهما وسيلة مهمة لتعزيز الثقة التي يضعها الجمهور في المعلومات الجغرافية المكانية.

(a) Welcomed the report of and the work done by the International Organization for Standardization 211 (ISO/TC 211), the Open Geospatial Consortium and the International Hydrographic Organization on the establishment and implementation of standards for the global geospatial information community,* and noted the close degree of cooperation between these organizations;
(أ) رحبت بالتقرير وبالعمل الذي قامت به المنظمة الدولية لتوحيد المقاييس (ISO/TC 211)، واتحاد المعايير الجغرافية المكانية المفتوحة، والمنظمة الهيدروغرافية الدولية بشأن وضع وتنفيذ المعايير للدوائر العالمية المعنية بالمعلومات الجغرافية المكانية*، وأشارت إلى مستوى التعاون الوثيق بين هذه المنظمات؛

The Committee of Experts is invited to take note of the report and to express its views on the way forward for the global geospatial information community, including in considering the recommendations of the Statistical Commission; encouraging Member States to participate in the expert group to be established on the integration of statistical and geospatial information; and organizing an international conference on the topic.
ولجنة الخبراء مدعوة إلى الإحاطة علماً بالتقرير والإعراب عن آرائها بشأن السبل المتاحة للدوائر العالمية المعنية بالمعلومات الجغرافية المكانية من أجل المضي قدماً، بما يشمل النظر في توصيات اللجنة الإحصائية؛ وتشجيع الدول الأعضاء على المشاركة في فريق الخبراء المزمع إنشاؤه بشأن تحقيق التكامل بين المعلومات الإحصائية والمعلومات الجغرافية المكانية؛ وتنظيم مؤتمر دولي لتناول هذا الموضوع.
