This report is being submitted to the sixtieth session of the Assembly in follow-up to the earlier report on the subject.8 The present review highlights the fact that of the total amount approved by the Assembly for security strengthening projects at Headquarters ($41.3 million), $34.4 million had been obligated as at 31 May 2005.
ويقدم هذا التقرير حاليا للدورة الستين للجمعية في إطار متابعة التقرير السابق بشأن الموضوع(8). ويبرز الاستعراض الحالي أنه قد جرى الالتزام، حتى تاريخ 31 أيار/مايو 2005، بمبلغ 34.4 مليون دولار من المبلغ الإجمالي الذي أقرته الجمعية العامة لمشاريع تعزيز الأمن في مقر الأمم المتحدة (41.3 مليون دولار).

At its sixtieth session, the General Assembly, in accordance with resolutions 59/145 and 59/291, held the High-level Plenary Meeting of the sixtieth session of the Assembly from 14 to 16 September 2005 in New York with the participation of Heads of State and Government, and also held a separate meeting on financing for development within the framework of the High-level Plenary Meeting.
وفي الدورة الستين، ووفقا للقرارين 59/145 و 59/291، عقدت الجمعية العامة الاجتماع الرفيع المستوى للدورة الستين للجمعية في الفترة من 14 إلى 16 أيلول/سبتمبر 2005 في نيويورك بمشاركة رؤساء الدول والحكومات، كما عقدت اجتماعا منفصلا عن تمويل التنمية في إطار الاجتماع الرفيع المستوى.
