Some delegations expressed the view that matters relating to the review of legal aspects of space debris at the international level could be considered jointly with the item currently on the agenda of the Subcommittee entitled " General exchange of information on national mechanisms relating to space debris mitigation measures " .

The Committee welcomed the agreement by the Subcommittee to include on the agenda of the Subcommittee at its forty-eighth session, in 2009, a new single issue/item entitled " General exchange of information on national mechanisms relating to space debris mitigation measures " , which had been proposed by Italy and Ukraine and supported by several other delegations.
