The principle that the more economically advanced countries should defray a greater portion of the Organization's expenses than developing countries and least developed countries was the one that the Committee on Contributions should use to determine the assessed contributions for both the regular budget of the Organization and peacekeeping operations.
٨ - وأردف يقول إنه ينبغي للجنة الاشتراكات، عندما تضع جدول اﻷنصبة المقررة للميزانية العادية للمنظمة ولعمليات حفظ السلام، أن تستند إلى مبدأ أن أكثر البلدان تقدما من الناحية الاقتصادية يجب أن تتحمل نصيبا من المصروفات أكبر من الذي تتحمله البلدان النامية وأقل البلدان نموا.

2. Takes note of the decision of the Committee on Contributions to continue its consideration of the elements of the methodology for the scale of assessments for the regular budget of the Organization at its fifty-ninth session and to make a consolidated set of recommendations to the General Assembly at its fifty-fourth session.
٢ - تحيط علما بما قررته لجنة الاشتراكات أن تواصل نظرها في عناصر المنهجية المتبعة في وضع جدول اﻷنصبة المقررة للميزانية العادية للمنظمة في دورتها التاسعة والخمسين، وأن تقدم مجموعة موحدة من التوصيات إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين.

)ب( اعتمد ، على أساس سعر صرف قدره ٠٩ر٢١ شلنا نمساويا للدولار الواحد ، مبلغ ٠٠٦ ٨٩٨ ٥٤١ دولار للميزانية العادية للمنظمة عن الفترة ٨٩٩١ - ٩٩٩١ ، كما هو مبين في الجدول التالي :

(b) Recommended to the General Conference the approval on the basis of an exchange rate of US$ 1 = AS 12.90 of appropriations in the amount of $145,898,600 for the regular budget of the Organization in 1998-1999, as reflected in the following table:
)ب( أوصى المؤتمر العام بالموافقة على اعتمادات قدرها ٠٠٦ ٨٩٨ ٥٤١ دولار للميزانية العادية للمنظمة في الفترة ٨٩٩١-٩٩٩١ ، على أساس سعر صرف قدره ٠٩ر٢١ شلنا نمساويا للدولار الواحد ، كما هو مبين في الجدول التالي :
