Although we do not intend to engage in a legalistic polemic on the relationship between the General Assembly and the Security Council, the six-month process, which was triggered by the General Assembly resolution and eventually led to the adoption of the new guidelines for the Council report, can be regarded, in the view of my delegation, as an example of healthy and positive interaction between the two major pillars of the world body.
وعلى الرغم من أننا لا ننوي الدخول في جدل قانوني حول العلاقة بين الجمعية العامة ومجلس اﻷمن إلا أن وفدي يرى أن عملية اﻷشهر الستة، التي أذن ببدئها قرار الجمعية العامة، والتي أدت في خاتمة المطاف الى اعتماد المبادئ التوجيهية الجديدة لتقرير المجلس، التي يمكن اعتبارها مثالا على تفاعل طيب وإيجابي بين الدعامتين الرئيسيتين للهيئة العالمية.
