Pursuant to Article 54 of the Charter of the United Nations, I have the honour to transmit to you herewith the resolutions of the fifteenth session of the Council of the League of Arab States, meeting at the summit level in Sharm el-Sheikh on 1 March 2003, on the following items:
طبقا للمادة 54 من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، أتشرف بأن أرفق مع هذا القرارات الصادرة عن الدورة الخامسة عشرة لمجلس جامعة الدول العربية التي عقدت على مستوى القمة في شرم الشيخ بتاريخ 1 آذار/مارس 2003 كما يلي:

The above-mentioned resolution was adopted at the one hundred and eighteenth regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of the Minister for Foreign Affairs, held on 4 and 5 September 2002, at the League of Arab States headquarters in Cairo.
وقد اتخذ هذا القرار في الدورة العادية الثامنة عشرة بعد المائة لمجلس جامعة الدول العربية، المعقودة على مستوى وزراء الخارجية في يومي 4 و 5 أيلول/سبتمبر 2002، بمقر جامعة الدول العربية في القاهرة.

The above-mentioned resolution was adopted at the one hundred and eighteenth regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States, at the level of Ministers for Foreign Affairs, held on 4 and 5 September 2002, at the League of Arab States headquarters in Cairo.
وقد اتخذ القرار المذكور في الدورة العادة الثامنة عشرة بعد المائة لمجلس جامعة الدول العربية المنعقد على مستوى وزراء الخارجية، في يومي 4 و 5 أيلول/سبتمبر 2002، بمقر جامعة الدول العربية في القاهرة.

Accordingly, the Arab leaders have instructed the Council of the League and its Economic and Social Council to develop and implement integrated economic and social strategies and plans of action to allow the Arab nation to promote its higher economic interests and give it the ability to deal with its partners in the present world economic order on an equal footing.
ولذا، كلﱠف القادة المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي لمجلس جامعة الدول العربية بوضع وتنفيذ استراتيجيات وخطط عمل اقتصادية واجتماعية متكاملة، تتيح لﻷمة العربية فرصة خدمة مصالحها الاقتصادية العليا، والقدرة على التعامل من موقع التكافؤ مع الشركاء اﻵخرين في النظام الاقتصادي العالمي الراهن.

On the basis of resolution No. 5848 of 18 March 1999, adopted by the Council of the League of Arab States at its one hundred and eleventh session and communicated to the Security Council on 25 March 1999, the member States:

In my capacity as Chairman of the Arab Group for the month of September 1996, I have the honour to transmit to you herewith a copy of resolution 5595 dated 15 September 1996, adopted by the Council of the League of Arab States at its 106th ordinary session, concerning the occupation by Iran of the Arab islands belonging to the United Arab Emirates in the Arabian Gulf.
