وأود الآن أن أبرِز جانبا هاما من الولاية التي أناطتها الجمعية العامة باللجنة المعنية بممارسة الشعب الفلسطيني لحقوقه غير القابلة للتصرف، لبيان كيفية مساهمة اللجنة في الجهود الشاملة التي تبذلها الأمم المتحدة لإيجاد حل سلمي لمسألة فلسطين من خلال إقامة دولة فلسطينية تعيش إلى جانب إسرائيل في سلام وأمن.

With regard to the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian people, we believe it will make more efforts in the implementation of the mandate given it by the General Assembly in order to contribute to the realization of the common United Nations objective of achieving a just and lasting solution to the question of Palestine.

While the resolutions on the peaceful settlement of the question of Palestine and the special information programme of the Department of Public Information traditionally enjoy wide support from delegations, there is room for improvement with regard to the vote on the draft resolutions relating to the work of the Committee and the Division.
