The Government of Turkey reported that developing effective measures at the international level to combat contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance is and should be one of the fundamental topics that the international community has to tackle so as to ensure universal protection and promotion of human rights.
٤٨ - أفادت حكومة تركيا بأن وضع تدابير فعالة على الصعيد الدولي لمكافحة اﻷشكال المعاصرة للعنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية اﻷجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب تشكل، وينبغي أن تكون، أحد المواضيع الجوهرية التي يتعين على المجتمع الدولي أن يتصدى لها من أجل كفالة حماية وتعزيز حقوق اﻹنسان عالميا.

١- أبلغت حكومة تركيا أن موضوع تطوير تدابير فعالة على الصعيد الدولي لمكافحة اﻷشكال المعاصرة للعنصرية والتمييز العنصري ورهاب اﻷجانب والتعصب المتصل بذلك يشكل وينبغي أن يشكل أحد المواضيع اﻷساسية التي يتعين على لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان أن تنظر فيه لتكفل حماية حقوق اﻹنسان وتعززها على الصعيد العالمي.

١- أفادت حكومة تركيا بأن وضع تدابير فعالة على الصعيد الدولي لمكافحة اﻷشكال المعاصرة للعنصرية والتمييز العنصري ورهاب اﻷجانب والتعصب المتصل بذلك هو مسألة تُعتبر، وينبغي أن تُعتبر، من المسائل اﻷساسية التي يجب أن تعالجها لجنة حقوق الانسان لضمان حماية حقوق الانسان وتعزيزها على الصعيد العالمي.

30. In this context and in response to the Special Rapporteur's request for information on the measures taken or envisaged by Governments to combat contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, the German Government sent a communication with information on the measures taken.
٣٠ - وفي هذا السياق، واستجابة لطلب المقرر الخاص الرامي إلى الحصول على معلومات بشأن التدابير التي اتخذتها الحكومات أو تعتزم اتخاذها لمكافحة اﻷشكال المعاصرة للعنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية اﻷجانب وما يتصل بذلك من التعصب، وجهت الحكومة اﻷلمانية بلاغا يتضمن التدابير المتخذة في هذا الصدد.

In its resolution 53/133 of 9 December 1998 concerning measures to combat contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, the General Assembly took note with appreciation of the report of the Special Rapporteur and expressed its support for the continuation of his work.
١ - أحاطت الجمعية العامة علما باهتمام في قرارها ٥٣/١٣٣ المؤرخ ٩ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٨ المتعلق بالتدابير الواجب اتخاذها لمكافحة اﻷشكال المعاصرة للعنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية اﻷجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب، بتقرير المقرر الخاص وأعربت عن تأييدها لمواصلة أعماله.

178. At the 38th meeting, on 22 July, the Council adopted draft decision 37, entitled " Measures to combat contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance " , recommended by the Commission on Human Rights (E/1997/23, chap. I, sect. B).
١٧٨ - في الجلسة ٣٨، المعقودة في ٢٢ تموز/يوليه، اعتمد المجلس مشروع المقرر ٣٧، المعنون " تدابير لمكافحة اﻷشكال المعاصرة للعنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية اﻷجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب " ، الذي أوصت به لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان )E/1997/23، الفصل اﻷول، الفرع باء(.

12. Ms. Ashour (Libyan Arab Jamahiriya) said that the international community should do more to combat contemporary forms of racism and xenophobia, helping to counter the resurgence of neo-fascism and neo-Nazism in many countries.
١٢ - السيدة عاشور )الجماهيرية العربية الليبية(: قالت إنه ينبغي للمجتمع الدولي أن يزيد من جهوده لمكافحة اﻷشكال المعاصرة للعنصرية وكره اﻷجانب، للمساعدة في التصدي لظهور الفاشية الجديدة والنازية الجديدة في العديد من البلدان.
