(b) Subject to conditions established by the Secretary-General, project personnel shall be entitled to paternity leave in accordance with the following provisions:

project personnel who may not have been receiving any allowances, grants or other payments due under these Rules shall not be entitled to receive such allowances, grants or other payments retroactively, unless a written claim has been submitted within one year of the date when the initial payment would otherwise have been due.
إذا كانت لموظف المشاريع أي بدلات أو منح أو مدفوعات أخرى مستحقة بموجب هذا النظام الإداري ولم يتقاضاها، لا يحق له الحصول بأثر رجعي على هذه البدلات أو المنح أو المدفوعات الأخرى ما لم يقدم طلبا مكتوبا بذلك في غضون سنة واحدة من التاريخ الذي كان يستحق أن تؤدى له فيه.

8. Rule 203.8, Education grant, is amended to permit travel by the project personnel or his or her spouse to visit the child when travel by the child from the educational institution to the duty station is not possible.
8 - عُدلت القاعدة 203/8، منحة التعليم، للسماح لموظف المشاريع أو زوجه بالسفر إلى الولد، إذا تعذَّر سفر الولد من المؤسسة التعليمية إلى مركز العمل.

(d) No repatriation grant shall be paid to project personnel who have permanent resident status in the country of the duty station at the time of separation from service.
)د( لا تدفع منحة اﻹعادة إلى الوطن لموظف المشاريع الذي يكون له وضع المقيم إقامة دائمة في بلد مركز العمل عند انتهاء الخدمة.

(b) When project personnel have an entitlement to return travel under rule 207.1 (v), this shall not affect the determination of the last day for pay purposes in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (a) above.
)ب( إذا كان لموظف المشاريع الحق في سفر اﻹياب بموجب القاعدة ٢٠٧/١ ' ٥ ' ، لا يؤثر ذلك على تحديد اليوم اﻷخير في حساب اﻷجر وفقا ﻷحكام الفقرة )أ( أعلاه.

(f) The amount of the grant to be paid when the project personnel's period of service or the child's school attendance does not cover the full scholastic year shall be prorated under conditions defined by the Secretary-General.
)و( تحدد، وفقا لشروط يقررها اﻷمين العام الحصة من منحة التعليم التي تدفع لموظف المشاريع عندما لا تغطي مدة خدمته أو فترة انتظام ولده في الدراسة كامل السنة الدراسية.

(d) In addition to any amount of grant paid under paragraph (b) above, a lump sum calculated on the basis of the project personnel=s net base salary and, where appropriate, post adjustment at the duty station of assignment may be paid under conditions established by the Secretary-General.
(د) بالإضافة إلى مبلغ المنحة المدفوع بموجب الفقرة (ب) أعلاه أيا كان، يجوز بشروط يضعها الأمين العام دفع مبلغ إجمالي مقطوع يحسب على أساس صافي المرتب الأساسي لموظف المشاريع مضافا إليه عند الاقتضاء، تسوية مقر العمل المقررة لمركز العمل الذي به الانتداب.

24. An estimate of $627,000 would cover the cost of personal service contracts, such as contracts of writers and journalists ($57,000), and of general temporary assistance ($570,000) for project staff to undertake media liaison and public outreach activities concerning the conferences.
