At its meeting held on 2 March 1996, the Bureau of the COP recommended that further sessions of Convention bodies should be scheduled as follows:
٠٦- أوصى مكتب مؤتمر اﻷطراف، في جلسته المعقودة في ٢ آذار/مارس ٦٩٩١، بأن تحدد مواعيد الدورات اﻹضافية لهيئات الاتفاقية على النحو اﻵتي:

The scheduling of meetings for the session will be based on the availability of facilities during normal working hours when services are available for two meetings of Convention bodies with interpretation, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will also be some facilities available for informal meetings, without interpretation.
٠١- سيستند الجدول الزمني لجلسات الدورة الى توافر التسهيلات خلال ساعات العمل العادية. عندما تتوفر الخدمات والترجمة الشفوية لجلستين لهيئات الاتفاقية وذلك من الساعة ٠٠/٠١ إلى ٠٠/٣١ ومن الساعة ٠٠/٥١ إلى الساعة ٠٠/٨١. كما ستتاح بعض التسهيلات للجلسات غير الرسمية بدون ترجمة شفوية.

They are organized pursuant to decisions by the COP and the subsidiary bodies and are important vehicles for obtaining informal advice and input from experts to assist the work of the secretariat and the development of proposals for Convention bodies.
