Indonesia has consistently viewed the endeavours to strengthen the United Nations system as a continuous reform process aimed at increasing the capacity of the Organization to play its mandated role, as envisioned in the Charter. It should help the Organization to function more efficiently through a conscious process of readjusting its structure and working methods, which are generally perceived to be a hindrance to its effective functioning.
