Welcomes the decision of the Second Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research to entrust ISESCO with supervising and seeing to the implementation of the Strategy for the Development of Science and Technology in the Islamic countries, and the follow-up of its implementation with the authorities in Member States.
2 - يرحب بالقرار الصادر عن المؤتمر الإسلامي الأول لوزراء التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي الذي يقضي بتكليف الإيسيسكو بمهمة السهر والإشراف على تنفيذ استراتيجية تطوير العلوم والتكنولوجيا في البلدان الإسلامية ومتابعة تنفيذها مع السلطات المعنية في الدول الأعضاء.

Renews its appreciation and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz for the Kingdom's hosting the First Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Islamic Countries in Riyadh from 15-18 October 2000, and for the success and support provided for the success of the Conference.
12 - يرفع أسمى عبارات تقديره وامتنانه إلى خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك فهد بن عبد العزيز عاهل المملكة العربية السعودية وإلى صاحب السمو الملكي ولي عهده الأمين الأمير عبد الله بن عبد العزيز، على استضافة المملكة العربية السعودية للمؤتمر الإسلامي الأول لوزراء التعليم العالي والعلوم والبحث العلمي في البلدان الإسلاميــة، في مدينة الرياض من 15 - 18 أكتوبر 2000، وعلى ما وفرته من دعم لازم لإنجاحه.

Having considered also the final report and the resolutions of the Second Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research held by ISESCO in Tripoli, Great Jamahiriyah from 6-9 October, 2003, and the final communiqué of the Second Consultative Council for the Implementation of the Strategy for the development of Science and Technology in Islamic Countries.
وبعد إطلاعه أيضا على التقرير الختامي والقرارات الصادرة عن المؤتمر الإسلامي الثاني لوزراء التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي الذي عقدته الإيسيسكو في مدينة طرابلس بالجماهيرية العظمى، خلال الفترة من 6 إلى 9 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2003م، وكذا البيان الختامي للمجلس الاستشاري الثاني لتنفيذ استراتيجية تطوير العلوم والتكنولوجيا في البلدان الإسلامية؛

To charge the Secretariat-General of the League of Arab States with coordinating with the relevant specialist Arab organisations to take the necessary measures to formulate a strategy for scientific and technical research in the Arab States for submission to the extraordinary meeting of Ministers of Higher Education and scientific research, or equivalent thereof, and the Economic and Social Council prior to submission to the next Arab summit.
2 - تكليف الأمانة العامة لجامعة الدول العربية بالتنسيق مع المنظمات العربية المتخصصة ذات العلاقة باتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة لوضع استراتيجية للبحث العلمي والتقني في الدول العربية، وعرضها على اجتماع استثنائي لوزراء التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي أو من في حكمهم، ومن ثم على المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، تمهيدا للعرض على القمة العربية القادمة.
