In this connection, the meeting reaffirmed the country programme in its refocused form as being relevant to the current Government's priorities and policies, subject to further refocusing and fine tuning.
وفي هذا الصدد، أكد الاجتماع من جديد البرنامج القطري في شكله المعاد تركيزه بوصفه ذا أهمية لﻷولويات والسياسات الجارية للحكومة، على أن تجري إعادة تركيزه وصقله بقدر أكبر.

(e) Ensure that, in accordance with national priorities and policies, taxation systems are fair, progressive and economically efficient, cognizant of sustainable development concerns, and ensure effective collection of tax liabilities;
)ﻫ( القيام، وفقا لﻷولويات والسياسات الوطنية، بضمان أن تكون النظم الضريبية عادلة وتدريجية وذات كفاءة من الناحية الاقتصادية مع مراعاة شواغل التنمية المستدامة وضمان تحصيل اﻷعباء الضريبية بفعالية؛

(d) Considering measures to address inequities arising from accumulation of wealth through, inter alia, the use of appropriate taxation at the national level, and to reduce inefficiencies and improve stability in financial markets in accordance with national priorities and policies;

In countries where the country strategy note has not produced the expected results or where the country strategy note is not expected to be in place soon, there is still a need for a consistent response of the United Nations system to the development priorities and policies and plans of the Government, as requested in paragraph 14 of General Assembly resolution 50/120.
٥٩ - أما في البلدان التي لم تأت فيها مذكرة الاستراتيجية القطرية بالنتائج المرجوة، أو التي لا ينتظر أن يؤخذ فيها بالمذكرة في وقت قريب فلا تزال هناك حاجة لاستجابة منتظمة من جانب منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة لﻷولويات والسياسات والخطط اﻹنمائية للحكومة، وفقا لما تطلبه الفقرة ١٤ من قرار الجمعية العامة ٥٠/١٢٠.

(f) Examine a range of policies and programmes, including social security legislation and taxation systems, in accordance with national priorities and policies, to determine how to promote gender equality and flexibility in the way people divide their time between and derive benefits from education and training, paid employment, family responsibilities, volunteer activity and other socially useful forms of work, rest and leisure.

(a) Implementing macroeconomic and micro-economic policies in accordance with national priorities and policies, aimed at encouraging greater domestic savings and investment required for public spending, through progressive, fair and economically efficient taxes that are cognizant of sustainable development concerns, and through cutting back on subsidies that do not benefit the poor;
)أ( تنفيذ سياسات للاقتصاد الكلي وللاقتصاد الجزئي وفقا لﻷولويات والسياسات الوطنية، الرامية إلى تشجيع تعبئة قدر أكبر من المدخرات المحلية والاستثمارات اللازمة لﻹنفاق العام، وذلك من خلال فرض ضرائب تصاعدية ومنصفة وتتسم بالكفاءة من الناحية الاقتصادية تكون مدركة لشواغل التنمية المستدامة، ومن خلال خفض اﻹعانات التي لا تفيد الفقراء؛
