1. The Sixth United Nations Conference on the Standardization of Geographical Names, convened in accordance with Economic and Social Council decision 1988/116 of 25 May 1988, was held at United Nations Headquarters from 25 August to 3 September 1992.
١ - انعقد مؤتمر اﻷمم المتحدة السادس المعني بتوحيد اﻷسماء الجغرافية في مقر اﻷمم المتحدة في الفترة من ٢٥ آب/أغسطس الى ٣ أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٢، وفقا لمقرر المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي ١٩٨٨/١١٦ المؤرخ في ٢٥ أيار/مايو ١٩٨٨.

The statute of the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names, adopted by the Group of Experts at its sixteenth session and endorsed by the Sixth United Nations Conference on the Standardization of Geographical Names, subject to review and approval by the Economic and Social Council, is contained in annex II below.
