It is now ready for submission to the Conference of African Ministers in Charge of Communication and Information Technologies and, subsequently, to the Assembly of the African Union at its twentieth ordinary session, in January 2013.

However, since the Commission/Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development had endorsed the reform measures in May 2006 and had invited the Secretary-General to support the efforts of the renewal and reform process by providing ECA, including its subregional offices, with adequate resources, she would have expected the Secretary-General's report to address that issue more concretely.
بيد أنه وطالما أن اللجنة/مؤتمر الوزراء الأفريقيين للمالية والتخطيط والتنمية الاقتصادية قد أيـَّـدت تدابير الإصلاح في أيار/مايو 2006 ودعا الأمين العام إلى توفير الدعم للجهود المتعلقة بعملية التجديد والإصلاح من خلال تزويد اللجنة الاقتصادية لأفريقيا ومكاتبها دون الإقليمية بالموارد الكافية فقد كانت تتوقع أن يتناول تقرير الأمين العام تلك القضية بشكل عملي.

Following the approval of the draft African Charter on Statistics by the Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the African Union Commission organized a Conference of African Ministers of Justice and Attorneys General in Kigali, Rwanda, from 27 October to 4 November 2008.
