Also requests the Conference on Disarmament to intensify its consideration of the question of the prevention of an arms race in outer space in all its aspects, building upon areas of convergence and taking into account relevant proposals and initiatives, including those presented in the Ad Hoc Committee at the 1993 session of the Conference and at the forty-eighth session of the General Assembly;
٧ - تطلب أيضا الى مؤتمر نزع السلاح أن يكثف نظره في مسألة منع حدوث سباق تسلح في الفضاء الخارجي من جميع جوانبها، تأسيسا على المجالات التي تتلاقى بشأنها وجهات النظر، وآخذا في الاعتبار المقترحات والمبادرات ذات الصلة، بما فيها تلك التي طرحت في اللجنة المخصصة في دورة المؤتمر لعام ١٩٩٣ وفي الدورة الثامنة واﻷربعين للجمعية العامة؛

At its sixty-second session, the General Assembly requested the Conference on Disarmament to intensify efforts towards an early conclusion of a convention on the prohibition of radiological weapons, taking into account radioactive wastes as part of the scope of such a convention, and to include in its report to the Assembly at its sixty-fourth session the progress recorded in the negotiations on the subject (resolution 62/34).
طلبت الجمعية العامة، في دورتها الثانية والستين، إلى مؤتمر نزع السلاح أن يكثف الجهود بغية التعجيل بإبرام اتفاقية بشأن حظر الأسلحة الإشعاعية، واضعا في اعتباره النفايات المشعة باعتبارها تدخل في نطاق اتفاقية من هذا القبيل، وأن يضمِّن تقريره إلى الجمعية العامة، في دورتها الرابعة والستين، ما أحرز من تقدم في المفاوضات المتعلقة بهذا الموضوع (القرار 62/34).
