The demand for the Conference on Disarmament to establish an ad hoc committee to commence negotiations on a phased and time-bound framework for nuclear disarmament was pronounced this year in the light of the failed attempt by non-nuclear-weapon States to insert such language into the text of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.
فقد جاء الطلب الى مؤتمر نزع السلاح أن ينشئ لجنة مخصصة لنزع السلاح النووي للشروع في مفاوضات لنزع السلاح النووي بصورة تدريجية ضمن إطار زمني محدد، هذا العام، في ضوء المحاولة الفاشلة التي قامت بها الدول غير الحائزة لﻷسلحة النووية ﻹدخال هذه العبارة في نص معاهدة الحظر الشامل للتجارب النووية.
