13. In concluding the meeting, the parties agreed to the communiqué of my Personal Envoy, contained in annex I to the present report, and reiterated their commitment to continue the negotiations at Manhasset at a date to be determined by common agreement.

In that first round of talks, the parties agreed to a communiqué from my Personal Envoy stating that during the meeting, negotiations had started as requested by the Security Council in its resolution 1754 (2007) and that the parties had agreed that the process of negotiations would continue in Manhasset in the second week of August 2007.

Despite the positive momentum experienced in recent months, including the additions to the list of those registered to take part in the family visits and the agreement between the parties at Manhasset to explore the establishment of family visits by land, without additional funds the continuation of the programme at even its current level of activity is at risk.
