The paramount focuses of the strategy are private sector development and the role of that sector in the industrialization process, plus the emphasis on the need for greater cooperation between UNIDO and the organizations of the United Nations system (especially ECA), and also with development finance institutions (such as ADB), as well as African regional and subregional organizations (such as OAU and COMESA).
