OIOS investigators assisted United States law enforcement authorities in the preparation of the criminal proceedings against a Chase Manhattan Bank customer who had been the erroneous recipient of over $700,000 in contributions made by several Member States for deposit in the UNEP Trust Fund account at the bank.
131- بمساعدة سلطات إنفاذ القانون في الولايات المتحدة قام محققو المكتب بتحضير الدعوى الجنائية ضد عميل لمصرف Chase Manhattanكان قد تلقى خطأ ما يزيد على 000 700 دولار مجموع التبرعات التي قدمتها عدة دول أعضاء لإيداعها في المصرف لحساب الصندوق الاستئماني لبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة.

37. Relying only on regional investigators, however, means a loss of the ability of OIOS investigators to develop detailed knowledge of the individual missions, as was the case with resident investigators.
