(a) The capacities of national mechanisms in Madagascar and the Dominican Republic should be enhanced through the provision of skills and knowledge aimed at promoting and sustaining effective vehicles for partnership development.
(أ) تعزيز قدرات الآليات الوطنية في مدغشقر والجمهورية الدومينيكية من خلال توفير المهارات والمعارف التي يراد بها الترويج للوسائل الفعالة لتنمية الشراكة وتحقيق استدامتها.

In response, and in pursuance of Council resolutions 2004/49 and 2005/42, the United Nations Public-Private Alliance for Rural Development was launched as an ad hoc initiative of the Council to help further these aims, with Madagascar and the Dominican Republic serving as the first two pilot countries for the Alliance.

7. Invites the Governments of Madagascar and the Dominican Republic, as pilot countries for the United Nations Public-Private Alliance, with support from relevant organizations of the United Nations system, to conduct an evaluation of the existing capacities of the relevant mechanisms for promoting and fast-tracking public-private partnerships;
7 - يدعو حكومتي مدغشقر والجمهورية الدومينيكية باعتبارهما البلدين التجريبيين لتحالف الأمم المتحدة بين القطاعين العام والخاص، إلى أن تقومـا، بدعم من مؤسسات منظومة الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة، بإجراء تقييم للقدرات القائمة المتاحة لدى الآليات ذات الصلة بغرض التـرويـج لـلشراكات بين القطاعين العام والخاص وإسراع وتيـرتـهـا؛

Focusing on the pilot countries of the UN Public Private Alliance that were the focus of the forum, it was noted that many developing countries like Madagascar and Dominican Republic are already well-involved in process of achieving the MDGs and have launched their own ICT strategy.
