1. The members of the Security Council recall the note by the President of 29 January 1999 (S/1999/92) which contained a number of practical proposals to improve the work of the sanctions committee in accordance with the resolutions concerned.

2. In preparing this monthly assessment, Rwanda takes note of the note by the President of 12 December 2012 (S/2012/922), in which members of the Council reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing the efficiency and transparency of the Council's work.

With reference to the note of the Chairman of 22 August 2005 regarding national reports on the implementation of Security Council resolution 1540 (2004), the Government of Uganda established a National Authority in the Department of Occupational Safety and Health in the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development to ensure compliance through coordination with other stakeholders.
