5. On 29 June 1994, the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations addressed a note verbale to the Secretary-General, the text of which reads as follows:
٥ - في ٢٩ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٤، وجهت البعثة الدائمة لفرنسا لدى اﻷمم المتحدة مذكرة شفوية الى اﻷمين العام فيما يلي نصها:

Pursuant to that request, in September 2002, the Secretariat of the United Nations sent a note verbale to Member States, seeking comments on the content of the progress report, as well as information on relevant national legislation, practical experience, statistics and measures taken.
واستجابة لذلك الطلب، أرسلت الأمانة العامة للأمم المتحدة، في أيلول/سبتمبر 2002، مذكرة شفوية الى الدول الأعضاء ملتمسة تعليقاتها على مضمون التقرير المرحلي بالاضافة الى تقديم معلومات عن ما يتصل بهذا الموضوع من تشريعات وطنية وخبرات عملية واحصاءات وتدابير متخذة.

2. In view of the requests formulated in paragraph 6 of the resolution, the Secretary-General, on 28 May 1996, addressed a note verbale to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Israel.
٢ - وبالنظر الى الطلبات الواردة في الفقرة ٦ من القرار، وجه اﻷمين العام في ٢٨ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٦ مذكرة شفوية الى وزير خارجية إسرائيل.

2. In accordance with these requests, the Secretary-General on 19 May 1994 addressed a note verbale to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Israel and to all other Governments requesting information pertaining to the implementation of the resolution by the Government of Israel.
٢ - ووفقا لهذين الطلبين وجه اﻷمين العام في ٩١ أيار/مايو ٤٩٩١ مذكرة شفوية الى وزير خارجية اسرائيل والى جميع الحكومات اﻷخرى يطلب فيها موافاته بمعلومات فيما يتصل بمدى تنفيذ القرار من قبل حكومة اسرائيل.

2. Pursuant to the request contained in paragraph 9 of the resolution, the Secretary-General addressed a note verbale to States parties to the Treaty inviting them to provide information on the subject.
٢ - وعملا بالطلب الوارد في الفقرة ٩ من القرار، وجه اﻷمين العام مذكرة شفوية الى الدول اﻷطراف في المعاهدة يدعوها فيها الى تقديم معلومات عن الموضوع.

2. In accordance with this request, the Secretary-General addressed on 15 May 1995 a note verbale to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Israel requesting information concerning the extent of the implementation of the resolution.

18. On 3 May 1995, the Secretary-General had sent a note verbale to Member States to draw their attention to General Assembly resolution 49/185 and Commission on Human Rights resolution 1995/43, both entitled " Human rights and terrorism " , and to seek their opinion on the possibility of creating a United Nations voluntary fund for victims of terrorism.

On 25 April 1995, the Secretary-General addressed a note verbale to the Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations, in which he drew attention to his reporting responsibility under the resolution and requested the Permanent Representative to inform him of any steps his Government had taken or envisaged to take in implementation of the relevant provisions of the resolution.

٢١- وبناء عليه، أرسل اﻷمين العام في ٠٣ آب/أغسطس ٥٩٩١ مذكرة شفوية الى الحكومات ورسائل الى الوكالات المتخصصة والمنظمات غير الحكومية يحيل فيها طلب المقررة الخاصة للمعلومات ذات الصلة وفقاً للفقرة ١١ من القرار ٥٩٩١/١٨.

On 27 July 1994, the Secretary-General addressed a note verbale to the Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations, in which he drew attention to his reporting responsibility under the resolution and requested the Permanent Representative to inform him of any steps his Government had taken or envisaged taking in implementation of the relevant provisions of the resolution.

On 24 May 1994, the Secretary-General addressed a note verbale to the Permanent Representatives of the Comoros and of France to the United Nations, drawing their attention to the contents of General Assembly resolution 48/56 and inviting them to provide him with any pertinent information for inclusion in his report to the Assembly.
٢ - وفي ٢٤ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٤، وجه اﻷمين العام مذكرة شفوية الى الممثلين الدائمين لجزر القمر وفرنسا لدى اﻷمم المتحدة يلفت فيها انتباههما الى محتوى قرار الجمعية العامة ٤٨/٥٦ ويدعوهما الى تزويده بأي معلومات ذات صلة ﻹدراجها في تقريره الى الجمعية العامة.

2. On 19 May 1994, the Secretary-General addressed a note verbale to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, in which he requested, in view of his reporting responsibilities under the resolution, that the Minister inform him of any steps his Government had taken or envisaged taking concerning the implementation of the relevant provisions of the resolution.
٢ - وفي ١٩ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٤، وجه اﻷمين العام مذكرة شفوية الى وزير خارجية دولة اسرائيل طلب فيها، بالنظر الى مسؤوليته عن تقديم تقرير بموجب القرار، أن يبلغه الوزير بأية خطوات تكون حكومته قد اتخذتها، أو تنوي اتخاذها، بشأن تنفيذ أحكام القرار ذات الصلة.

23. After taking up his post, the Special Rapporteur, Mr. Abdelfattah Amor, sent a note verbale to all States on 21 April 1994, drawing their attention to resolution 1994/18 of the Commission on Human Rights and inviting Governments to communicate all new information falling within that mandate as well as any other observations that they wished to make in that regard.
٢٣ - وعمد المقرر الخاص، السيد عبد الفتاح عمر، بعد توليه مهام منصبه، الى توجيه مذكرة شفوية الى جميع الدول في ٢١ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٤ كيما يلفت انتباهها الى قرار لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان ١٩٩٤/١٨ وكيما يدعو الحكومات الى إرسال كافة المعلومات الجديدة التي تدخل في نطاق هذه الولاية، وكذلك كافة الملاحظات اﻷخرى التي تود إبداءها في هذا الشأن.

Furthermore, in accordance with paragraph 5 of resolution 49/100, the Secretary-General of UNCTAD sent a note verbale to all Governments of States members of UNCTAD as well as a letter to international and intergovernmental organizations, requesting them to provide him with information on the actions they had undertaken and on the policies adopted in favour of island developing countries.

On 18 February 1993, the Secretary-General addressed a note verbale to the Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations, in which he drew attention to his reporting responsibility under the General Assembly resolution and requested the Permanent Representative to inform him of any steps his Government had taken or envisaged to take in implementation of the relevant provisions of the Assembly resolution.
