The dangerous goods transport document shall contain the following information for each dangerous substance, material or article offered for transport:

1. When a negotiable transport document is issued, the holder may transfer the rights incorporated in the document by transferring it to another person:

5.4.1.2.1 A dangerous goods transport document may be in any form, provided it contains all of the information required by these Regulations.

While the term " transport document " was generally preferred for reasons of consistency in terminology, it was acknowledged that, since not all transport documents as defined under paragraph 1.20 served the function of evidencing receipt of the goods by the carrier, it was important to make it abundantly clear that, under subparagraph 8.1 (i), the transport document should serve the receipt function.
