In addition, the submissions included a range of proposals for improving current UNFCCC practices and enhancing the participation of observer organizations in the process.

139. The SBI considered the submissions from Parties and observer organizations and the information provided in the synthesis report prepared by the secretariat on ways to enhance the engagement of observer organizations.

IV. Proposals for enhancing the participation of observer organizations

The SBI requested the secretariat to monitor and incorporate into its current practices any relevant development of good practices within the United Nations system in order to further enhance the participation of observer organizations.
