The February 2013 version of the draft guidance on the implementation of the Basel Convention illegal traffic take-back provision was published on the website of the Convention and, on 7 March 2013, circulated to all parties and regional and coordinating centres with an invitation to provide comments thereon by 31 July 2013.

It is presented to the Plenary for adoption.

At its eighth meeting, the Committee reviewed the draft guidance on how to assess the possible impact of climate change on its work and noted that further work is needed to address fully the comments provided by parties and observers.

Having reviewed the draft guidance on how to assess the possible impact of climate change on the work of the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee, and noting that further work was needed to address fully the comments provided by parties and observers, the Committee, by its decision POPRC-8/10, decided to establish an ad hoc working group to revise the draft guidance in accordance with the workplan set out in the annex to the decision.

The interactions between POPs and climate change relevant to consider in the review of the chemicals proposed for listing are described in chapter 4 of the " draft guidance on how to assess the possible impact of climate change on the work of the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee " (hereinafter referred to as " Draft Guidance " ).

Request the Secretariat to broadly disseminate the information contained in the draft guidance on how to assess the possible impact of climate change on the work of the Committee and the draft approach for consideration of climate change interactions with the chemicals proposed for listing among Parties and other stakeholders, including the IPCC.
4 - تطلب إلى الأمانة العامة أن تنشر على نطاق واسع في أوساط الأطراف وأصحاب المصلحة الآخرين، بمن فيهم الفريق الحكومي الدولي المعني بتغير المناخ، المعلومات الواردة في مشروع التوجيهات بشأن كيفية تقييم الآثار المحتملة لتغير المناخ على عمل اللجنة، ومشروع النهج الخاص بالنظر في تفاعلات تغير المناخ مع المواد الكيميائية المقترح إدراجها.

Invite the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee to regularly update the draft guidance on how to assess the possible impact of climate change on the work of the Committee and the draft approach for consideration of climate change interactions with the chemicals proposed for listing in order to incorporate new scientific findings, and follow up new reports developed by IPCC, AMAP and others.
6 - تدعو لجنة استعراض الملوثات العضوية الثابتة إلى أن تستكمل بصورة منتظمة مشروع التوجيهات بشأن تقييم الآثار المحتملة لتغير المناخ على عمل اللجنة، ومشروع النهج الخاص بالنظر في تفاعلات تغير المناخ مع المواد الكيميائية المقترح إدراجها بغية إدراج النتائج العلمية الجديدة، ومتابعة التقارير الجديدة التي يعدها الفريق الحكومي الدولي المعني بتغير المناخ وبرنامج الرصد والتقييم القطبي وغيرهما.
