If it is satisfied that the screening criteria have been fulfilled, establish an ad hoc working group to develop a draft risk profile and agree on a work plan for completing the draft for consideration by the Committee at its third meeting.

The Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee concluded in its meeting in November 2005 that the substance comply with the screening criteria set out in Annex D of the Convention and that a draft risk profile should be prepared to review the proposal further.

Following a discussion on the draft standard format contained in the note and on the possible format of a guidance letter to be sent to Parties requesting additional relevant information for the preparation of the draft risk profile by the Committee, the Committee agreed to set up an open-ended contact group to discuss the matter further, chaired by Mr. Jarupong BoonLong (Thailand) and Mr. Cueva (Ecuador).
