35. A number of participants spoke on electronic data processing and the exchange of data. They stressed the need to develop the computerization of criminal justice information as a mechanism to monitor developments in control of organized transnational crime.

Calls further on Member States, interregional and non-governmental organizations, and the private sector to assist the Secretary-General in establishing an ad hoc working group on computerization of criminal justice information with a view to advising him in developing computerization projects dealing with training and funding, as well as the evaluation of such projects;
" ٧ ـ تطلب كذلك الى الدول اﻷعضاء والى المنظمات اﻷقاليمية وغير الحكومية والى القطاع الخاص مساعدة اﻷمين العام على انشاء فريق عامل مخصص معني بحوسبة معلومات العدالة الجنائية بغية تقديم المشورة اليه في مجال صوغ مشاريع الحوسبة التي تتناول التدريب والتمويل وكذلك تقييم هذه المشاريع؛

Further, the report reviews progress made in the computerization of criminal justice information at the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Branch of the United Nations Office at Vienna, including recent developments in the operation of the United Nations criminal justice information Network, as well as progress made in the automation of other databases on crime prevention and criminal justice.
كذلك يستعرض التقرير التقدم المحرز في حوسبة معلومات العدالة الجنائية في فرع منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية التابع لمكتب اﻷمم المتحدة في فيينا، بما في ذلك آخر تطورات تشغيل شبكة اﻷمم المتحدة لمعلومات منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية، فضلا عن التقدم المحرز في أتمتة قواعد أخرى لبيانات منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية.

7.
