The recommendation is contrary to the concluding comments of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women in which it urged the Government to remove the punitive provisions imposed on women who have abortions and to reduce women's maternal mortality rates in line with the Committee's general recommendation No. 24 on women and health and the Beijing Platform for Action.

The State party should also take effective measures to prevent discrimination against and ensure protection of all minorities, recognized or not, in accordance with the Committee's general comment No. 2 (2007) on implementation of article 2 by States parties.

The Committee encourages the State party to use temporary special measures, in accordance with article 4 (1) of the Convention and in line with the Committee's general recommendation No. 25 on temporary special measures, in all areas covered by the Convention where women are underrepresented or disadvantaged.

(d) To urgently adopt comprehensive legislation to combat sexual harassment in the workplace in line with the Committee's general recommendation No. 19 on violence against women.
(د) التعجيل باعتماد تشريعات شاملة لمكافحة التحرش الجنسي في مكان العمل تماشيا مع التوصية العامة للجنة رقم 19 بشأن العنف ضد المرأة.

35. The Committee recommends that the State party effectively enforce its legislation in line with the Committee's general recommendation No. 29 on the economic consequences of marriage, family relations and their dissolution, and to protect the rights of women upon dissolution of such religious or customary marriages regardless of their registration status.
35 - وتوصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف بأن تنفذ بفعالية تشريعاتها بما يتماشى مع التوصية العامة للجنة رقم 29 بشأن الآثار الاقتصادية المترتبة على الزواج والعلاقات الأسرية وعلى فسخهما، وأن تحمي حقوق المرأة لدى فسخ هذه الزيجات الدينية أو العرفية بصرف النظر عن وضعية تسجيلها.

Please also indicate to what extent the State party has promoted the adoption of temporary special measures in line with the Committee's general recommendation No. 25 (2004).

It further urges the State party to remove from its legislation the punitive provisions for women who undergo abortion, in line with the Committee's general recommendation No. 24 (1999) on women and health and the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
وتحث اللجنة كذلك الدولة الطرف على أن تزيل من تشريعها الأحكام الجزائية المتعلقة بالمرأة التي تحظر الإجهاض، تمشياً مع التوصية العامة للجنة رقم 24(1999) بشأن المرأة أو الصحة وإعلان ومنهاج عمل بيجين.

The Committee recommends that the State party amend article 226 ter of the Penal Code in view of aligning it with the Committee's general recommendation No. 19 and facilitating access to justice for victims of sexual harassment.

(أ) اعتماد قانون محدّد بشأن العنف ضدّ المرأة بما في ذلك العنف المنزلي وذلك انسجاماً مع التوصية العامة للجنة رقم 19(1992)، وإنشاء آليات انتصاف ملائمة تتاح لجميع النساء، بمن فيهن العاملات في البيوت اللائي يتعرضن للعنف، وضمان مقاضاة الجناة وإنزال العقوبة المناسبة بهم؛

18. The Committee encourages the State party to use temporary special measures, in accordance with article 4 (1) of the Convention, and in line with the Committee's general recommendation No. 25 (2004), on temporary special measures, in all areas covered by the Convention where women are underrepresented or disadvantaged.
