In cooperation with the International Foundation for the Law of the Sea, the Tribunal has organized a number of regional workshops intended to provide Government experts working on the law of the sea, or in other legal areas, with insight into the procedures before the Tribunal.

9. As reported to the sixteenth Meeting of States Parties (SPLOS/148), the Tribunal had planned a series of regional workshops, organized jointly with the International Foundation for the Law of the Sea.

CARICOM is also delighted that the Tribunal continues to carry out its series of workshops on the settlement of law of the sea-related disputes in various regions of the world in cooperation with the International Foundation of the Law of the Sea, aimed at providing Government experts working in the maritime field with insight into the procedures for the settlement of disputes.
ويسرّ الجماعة الكاريبية أيضا أن تواصل المحكمة عقد سلسلتها من حلقات العمل بشأن تسوية نزاعات متعلقة بقانون البحار في مناطق مختلفة من العالم، بالتعاون مع المؤسسة الدولية لقانون البحار، وذلك من أجل تزويد الخبراء الحكوميين العاملين في المجال البحري بالمعرفة الكافية بإجراءات تسوية النزاعات.

He described other educational activities planned by the Tribunal, in particular a series of regional law of the sea workshops organized in collaboration with the International Foundation for the Law of the Sea and a " summer academy " starting in the summer of 2007 that would complement the internship programme administered by the Tribunal.
وعرض الأنشطة التعليمية الأخرى التي خططت المحكمة للقيام بها، وخاصة عقد مجموعة من حلقات العمل الإقليمية بشأن قانون البحار تنظم بالتعاون مع المؤسسة الدولية لقانون البحار و " الأكاديمية الصيفية " التي ستبدأ في صيف عام 2007 التي ستستكمل برنامج التدريب الداخلي الذي تديره المحكمة.

25. In referring to the efforts of the Tribunal to disseminate knowledge about the dispute settlement mechanisms established under the Convention, the President of the Tribunal informed the Meeting that, in 2008, the Tribunal had organized, in cooperation with the International Foundation for the Law of the Sea, two regional workshops, namely in Bahrain and Buenos Aires.
25 - وأشار رئيس المحكمة إلى الجهود التي تبذلها المحكمة لنشر المعرفة بآليات تسوية المنازعات التي أنشئت بموجب الاتفاقية، وأبلغ الاجتماع أن المحكمة قامت، في عام 2008، وبالتعاون مع المؤسسة الدولية لقانون البحار، بتنظيم حلقتي عمل إقليميتين في البحرين وبوينس آيرس.

16. The President also informed the Meeting about the work of the Tribunal in promoting knowledge about the Convention and its dispute settlement procedures, recalling workshops held in Dakar, Libreville, Kingston and Singapore in 2006 and 2007, which had been organized in cooperation with the International Foundation for the Law of the Sea, and with the support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

22. In relation to the efforts of the Tribunal to disseminate knowledge about the dispute settlement mechanisms established under the Convention, the President of the Tribunal informed the Meeting that in 2009 the Tribunal, in collaboration with the International Foundation for the Law of the Sea, had organized two regional workshops, in Putrajaya, Malaysia and Cape Town, South Africa.
22 - وفيما يتعلق بالجهود التي تبذلها المحكمة للتعريف بآليات تسوية المنازعات المنشأَة بموجب الاتفاقية، أبلغ رئيس المحكمة الاجتماع أن المحكمة نظمت في عام 2009، بالتعاون مع المؤسسة الدولية لقانون البحار، حلقتي عمل إقليميتين في بوتراجايا (ماليزيا) وكيب تاون (جنوب أفريقيا).

19. The President informed the Meeting that the Tribunal had organized four workshops with the support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and in cooperation with the International Foundation for the Law of the Sea, respectively in Dakar, from 31 October to 2 November 2006; Libreville, on 26 and 27 March 2007; Kingston, from 16 to 18 April 2007; and Singapore, from 29 to 31 May 2007.
