The Third Conference of Ministers of Justice of Francophone African Countries for the ratification and implementation of the universal instruments against terrorism, which was jointly organized with the International Organization of la Francophonie and the Government of Egypt, was held from 7 to 9 February 2006 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

In 2014, events were organized in cooperation with the International Organization of la Francophonie focusing on " Local languages for global citizenship: spotlight on science " .

During the reporting period, OHCHR support towards the establishment and strengthening of NHRIs in French-speaking countries, including Benin, the Comoros, Côte d'Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mali and Senegal, was provided jointly or in cooperation with the International Organization of la Francophonie.

In the aftermath of the February 2010 earthquake, the Office, in cooperation with the International Organization of la Francophonie (OIF) and the independent expert appointed by the Secretary-General on the situation of human rights in Haiti, has assisted the institution in strengthening its capacities.

(a) The Third Conference of Ministers of Justice of Francophone African Countries on the implementation of the universal anti-terrorism conventions, held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from 7 to 9 February 2006, was organized in collaboration with the International Organization of la Francophonie and the Government of Egypt and attended by representatives of 27 countries.

In the aftermath of the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti, OHCHR, in cooperation with the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) and the independent expert on the human rights situation in Haiti, helped the Ombudsman (Protectrice du Citoyen) to build the capacities of this institution.

In 2009, Government representatives of Benin received two training courses on State Party reporting to the treaty bodies and on ICRMW organized by the Office in collaboration with the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie.
