With this in mind, the Provincial Secretariat for Labour, Employment and the Equality of Sexes of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina initiated the establishment of the first SOS hotline for women victims of violence and assumed the responsibility for its operation.

(iii) Measures undertaken in the AP of Vojvodina to prevent the discrimination of the Roma

In accordance with the Law, the AP of Vojvodina defines the competences, election, organization and activities of bodies and services it establishes.

It includes the most important segments and problems facing women in countries in transition, i.e. strengthening the economic position of women, violence against women, education, support to women's NGOs and the promotion of the concept of equality of sexes in the AP of Vojvodina.
وتتضمن استراتيجية الأمانة أهم المجالات والمشاكل التي تواجهها المرأة في البلدان التي تمر بمراحل انتقالية، أي تدعيم الوضع الاقتصادي للمرأة، والعنف ضد المرأة، والتعليم، ودعم المنظمات غير الحكومية النسائية، وتعزيز مفهوم المساواة بين الجنسين في مقاطعة فويفودينا المتمتعة بالحكم الذاتي.

77. The Secretariat planned, for the latter half of 2003, the signing with the OSCE representatives of the Agreement on Cooperation relating, inter alia, to the designation of persons in the municipalities of the AP of Vojvodina to deal with questions pertaining to equality of sexes and equal opportunities.
77 - واعتزمت الأمانة أن توقع أثناء النصف الثاني من عام 2003 مع ممثلي منظمة الأمن والتعاون في أوروبا على اتفاق التعاون الذي يتعلق، ضمن جملة أمور، بتعيين أشخاص في بلديات مقاطعة فويفودينا المتمتعة بالحكم الذاتي لكي يتناولوا المسائل المتصلة بالمساواة بين الجنسين وتكافؤ الفرص.

227. The Assembly of the AP of Vojvodina adopted the Declaration on Gender Equality and the Decision on Gender Equality in August 2004.
227- واعتمدت جمعية مقاطعة فويفودينا المتمتعة بالحكم الذاتي إعلان المساواة بين الجنسين وقرار المساواة بين الجنسين في آب/أغسطس 2004.

141. The Provincial Labour, Employment and Gender Equality Secretariat was established in 2002 as a department of the Executive Council of the AP Vojvodina; the main objective of the Secretariat is to monitor and improve the conditions in the field of labour, employment and gender equality in the territory of the AP Vojvodina.
141- أنشئت الأمانة الإقليمية للعمل والتوظيف والمساواة بين الجنسين في 2002 كإدارة في المجلس التنفيذي لمقاطعة فويفودينا المتمتعة بالحكم الذاتي؛ والهدف الرئيسي للأمانة هو رصد وتحسين الأحوال في مجال العمل والتوظيف والمساواة بين الجنسين في إقليم مقاطعة فويفودينا المتمتعة بالحكم الذاتي.

142. The Office for Roma Inclusion was established by the decision of the Assembly of the AP Vojvodina in 2006 in order to implement the action plans for integration of the Roma, as well as to develop and implement the programmes for the improvement of the Roma status in the field of education, health, employment, housing, human and other rights.
