In its 2004 report, procurement practices within the United Nations system (JIU/REP/2004/9), the Unit recommended that the Secretary-General undertake a review of the feasibility and efficiency benefits of strengthening collaboration between the United Nations Office for Project Services procurement service and the Inter-Agency Procurement Services Office, including the option of merging the two entities.

41. Available information indicates that coordination of procurement practices within the United Nations system has not been an area of specific focus by ACC, renamed CEB in 2001, which had been established in 1946 to implement the above-mentioned Relationship Agreements.
41 - وتبيِّن المعلومات المتاحة أن تنسيق ممارسات الشراء داخل منظومة الأمم المتحدة ما برح لا يشكل مجالاً يتعين التركيز عليه تحديداً من جانب لجنة التنسيق الإدارية، التي أُعيد تسميتها في عام 2001 لتصبح مجلس الرؤساء التنفيذيين المعني بالتنسيق، والتي كانت قد أُنشئت في عام 1946() بغية وضع اتفاقات العلاقة المذكورة أعلاه موضع التنفيذ.
