I should like to bring it to your attention that this document fails to include among the matters of which the Security Council is seized the letter dated 21 August 1998 from the Permanent representative of the Sudan to the United Nations addressed to the President of the Security Council (S/1998/786), which concerns the United States attack on the Shifa'pharmaceutical plant in Khartoum.
نود أن نلفت انتباهكم إلى أن الوثيقة المذكورة أغفلت الإشارة ضمن المسائل المعروضة على مجلس الأمن إلى رسالة مندوب السودان الدائم إلى رئيس مجلس الأمن بتاريخ 21 آب/أغسطس 1998، الواردة في الوثيقة S/1998/786 بشأن العدوان الأمريكي على مصنع الشفاء للأدوية في الخرطوم.

2. Having been informed that the Permanent representative of the Sudan to the United Nations had received the proposal of the Secretary-General on the final phase of the peacekeeping process and that the Government of the Sudan was currently studying it with a view to reaching a final agreement on its details at Addis Ababa within the coming week,
2 - وإذ أعلم بأن مندوب السودان الدائم بالأمم المتحدة قد استلم مقترح الأمين العام حول المرحلة الأخيرة لعملية حفظ السلام وأن الحكومة السودانية تعكف على دراسته للاتفاق النهائي على تفاصيله في أديس أبابا خلال أسبوع من الآن.

40. Mr. Kamando (United Republic of Tanzania) speaking on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, said that he agreed with the statement made by the representative of the Sudan and that his motion to adjourn the debate was in no way a reflection of the hard work of the representative of Egypt.
