1. To extend, at the request of the parties, the length of stay of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces in the conflict zone in Abkhazia, Georgia, to 31 July 1997 or until one of the parties to the conflict expresses its wish to terminate the operation;
١ - أن يمدد، بناء على طلب الطرفين، فترة إقامة قوات حفظ السلام المشتركة في منطقة النزاع في أبخازيا بجورجيا حتى ٣١ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٧، أو حتى الوقت الذي يدعو فيه أحد طرفي النزاع الى وقف العمليات العسكرية؛

6. To agree in principle with the proposal to extend the length of stay of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces in the conflict zone in Abkhazia, Georgia, for six months or until one of the parties to the conflict expresses its wish that the operation should be terminated.
٦ - أن يوافق من حيث المبدأ على الاقتراح الداعي إلى مد فترة بقاء قوات حفظ السلام المشتركة في منطقة النزاع في أبخازيا بجورجيا لمدة ٦ أشهر، أو إلى أن يطلب أحد طرفي النزاع وقف تنفيذ العملية.

1. To extend the length of stay and mandate of the Collective Peace-keeping Forces in the conflict zone in Abkhazia, Georgia, until 31 December 2001 or until such time as one of the parties to the conflict declares that it is in favour of halting the operation.

11. The Council of Heads of State of CIS met in Moscow on 17 May 1996 and adopted a decision on the presence of the collective peace-keeping forces in the conflict zone in Abkhazia, Georgia (see S/1996/371, annex I), by which it, inter alia, decided to call upon the parties to the conflict to accelerate the negotiation process with a view to ensuring a political settlement with the Russian Federation acting as facilitator.
١١ - وقد اجتمع مجلس رؤساء دول رابطة الدول المستقلة في موسكو في ١٧ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٦ واتخذ قرارا بشأن وجود قوات جماعية لحفظ السلم في منطقة النزاع في أبخازيا بجورجيا )انظر S/1996/C.71، المرفق اﻷول( قرر بموجبه جملة أمور منها دعوة طرفي النزاع إلى التعجيل بعملية المفاوضات لكفالة التوصل إلى تسوية سياسية حيث يقوم الاتحاد الروسي بدور الوسيط.
