In order to secure further advances in gender equality after the Millennium Development Goals have concluded, Plan International calls on Member States to include a transformative goal on gender equality in the post-2015 development agenda.

38. Plan International recalled that female genital mutilation (FGM), known as " excision " , was one of the most common and entrenched practices in the Malian tradition.
38- وذكرت منظمة الخطة الدولية أن عمليات تشويه الأعضاء التناسلية للإناث، التي تسمى " الختان " هي من الممارسات الأكثر شيوعاً والأكثر تجذراً في المجتمع المالي.

41. Plan International stressed that corporal punishment, which was traditionally a part of children's upbringing, was permitted and practised in the family home.
41- ولفتت منظمة الخطة الدولية إلى أن العقوبات البدنية يُسمح بها وتمارس في المنزل لأنها مرتبطة بالتقاليد كطريقة لتربية الأطفال.

44. The contribution of Plan International centred on the rights of children in the face of the epidemic, and focused on the child's right to express views and be heard, as provided for in article 12 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
44- وركّز إسهام منظمة الخطة الدولية على حقوق الأطفال في مواجهة جائحة الفيروس/الإيدز، وعلى حق الطفل في الإعراب عن آرائه واستماع الآخرين إليها، على النحو المنصوص عليه في المادة 12 من اتفاقية حقوق الطفل.

3. Plan International emphasized that although a Child Protection Code existed, it did not have the force of law.
