ويعرب مجلس الأمن عن امتنانه لرئيس الفريق الرفيع المستوى مبيكي ومبعوث الأمم المتحدة الخاص منكيريوس للإحاطتين اللتين قدماها إلى المجلس في 9 آب/أغسطس وللجهود الدؤوبة التي يبذلانها في الوساطة من أجل إبرام اتفاقات بين الطرفين.

Following the usual consultations, it is my intention to appoint Mr. Haile Menkerios (South Africa) as my Special Envoy for the Sudan and South Sudan, as of 1 August 2011.
وعقب إجراء المشاورات اللازمة، فإنني أعتزم تعيين السيد هايليه منكيريوس (جنوب أفريقيا) بصفته مبعوثي الخاص إلى السودان وجنوب السودان، وذلك اعتبارا من 1 آب/أغسطس 2011.

Mr. Menkerios has served as my Special Representative for the Sudan since 1 March 2010, and will, in his new capacity, continue to assist the parties reach a negotiated settlement to residual Comprehensive Peace Agreement and post-secession issues.
وظل السيد منكيريوس يعمل بصفته ممثلي الخاص في السودان منذ 1 آذار/ مارس 2010، وسيواصل، بصفته الجديدة، مساعدة الأطراف على التوصل إلى تسوية تفاوضية لما تبقى من المسائل المتصلة باتفاق السلام الشامل ومرحلة ما بعد الانفصال.
