To celebrate the International Women's Day for peace and disarmament and to promote the implementation of Security Council resolution 1325 (2000), the Regional Centre organized a capacity-building seminar in May 2010 for key actors working for women's rights in Nepal, to enable them to discuss ways in which to increase the involvement of women in disarmament and arms control efforts.
