Article 4h of the Constitutive Act of the African Union sets out the right of the Union to intervene for the purpose of protecting civilians from genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity.
وتنص المادة 4 (ح) من القانون التأسيسي للاتحاد الأفريقي على حق الاتحاد في التدخل لأغراض حماية المدنيين من الإبادة الجماعية وجرائم الحرب والجرائم المرتكبة ضد الإنسانية.

The African States fully subscribe to and support this principle, as enshrined in article 4 (h) of the Constitutive Act of the African Union and as emphasized in several African Union decisions.
