The year 2015 is the agreed date to review progress made on the achievements of the Millennium Development Goals and the targets set by both the World Summit on the Information Society and the Broadband Commission.
والعام 2015 هو الموعد المتفق عليه لاستعراض التقدم المحرز في تحقيق إنجازات الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية وتحقيق الأهداف التي حددتها كل من القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات ولجنة النطاق العريض.

1 The Geneva phase of the World Summit on the Information Society was held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 10 to 12 December 2003, in conformity with the decision of the ITU Council and General Assembly Resolutions 56/183 and 57/238.
1 - عُقدت مرحلة جنيف من القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات في جنيف بسويسرا من 10 إلى 12 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003 وفقاً لمقرر مجلس الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات وقراري الجمعية العامة 56/183 و 57/238.

In the Geneva Declaration of Principles, the first Phase of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) adopted a common vision and commitment to building a people-centred, inclusive and development-oriented Information Society,
وقد اعتمدت المرحلة الأولى من القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات()، في إطار إعلان مبادئ جنيف، رؤية مشتركة والتزاماً ببناء مجتمع معلومات جامعٍ هدفه الإنسان ويتجه نحو التنمية،

1. Calls upon all Member States of the Organization of the Islamic Conference to work together in order to benefit from the important approach derived from the second phase of the World Summit on the Information Society to participate in building a balanced and equitable information society which responds to the aspirations of the Islamic peoples and achieves regional and international partnership through involvement in knowledge society.
1 - تدعو كافة الدول الأعضاء في منظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي لتضافر الجهود من أجل الاستفادة من النتائج الهامة المنبثقة عن المرحلة الثانية من القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات للمساهمة في بناء مجتمع معلومات متوازن ومتكافئ، يستجيب لتطلعات الشعوب الإسلامية وتحقيق شراكة إقليمية ودولية للانخراط في مجتمع المعرفة.

12. Recognizes that the Declaration of Principles, adopted at the first phase of the World Summit on the Information Society, held in Geneva in December 2003, strongly urges States to avoid and refrain from any unilateral measure in building the information society;
12- يُسلِّم بأن إعلان المبادئ الذي اعتُمِد في المرحلة الأولى من القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات التي عُقِدت في جنيف في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003، يحث الدول بقوة على تجنُّب اتخاذ أي تدابير انفرادية والامتناع عن ذلك في إطار بناء مجتمع المعلومات؛

12. Recognizes that the Declaration of Principles, adopted at the first phase of the World Summit on the Information Society, held in Geneva in December 2003, strongly urges States to avoid and refrain from any unilateral measure in building the information society;
12- يسلم بأن إعلان المبادئ الذي اعتُمِد في المرحلة الأولى من القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات التي عُقِدت في جنيف في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003، يحث الدول بقوة على تجنُّب اتخاذ أي تدابير انفرادية والامتناع عن ذلك في إطار بناء مجتمع المعلومات؛

(c) Assist in the implementation of the Geneva Plan of Action of the first phase of the World Summit on the Information Society on e-government-related issues;
(ج) المساعدة في تنفيذ خطة عمل جنيف للمرحلة الأولى من القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات بشأن المسائل المتصلة بالحكومة الإلكترونية؛

(c) Assist in the implementation of the Geneva Plan of Action of the first phase of the World Summit on the Information Society on e-government-related issues;
(ج) المساعدة في تنفيذ خطة عمل جنيف للمرحلة الأولى من القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات() بشأن المسائل المتصلة بالحكومة الإلكترونية؛

In 2004, the Task Force on Financing Mechanisms (TFFM) released a report that was forwarded for consideration by the PrepCom of the Tunis phase of the WSIS in 2005.
وفي عام 2004، أصدرت فرقة العمل المعنية بآليات التمويل تقريراً أحيل إلى اللجنة التحضيرية لمرحلة تونس من القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات عام 2005 لتنظر فيه.

a) Elaboration of final appropriate documents based on the outcome of the Geneva phase of the WSIS with a view to consolidating the process of building a global Information Society, and reducing the Digital Divide and transforming it into digital opportunities.
(أ) صياغة وثائق نهائية ملائمة استناداً إلى نتائج مرحلة جنيف من القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات عملاً على دعم عملية بناء مجتمع معلومات عالمي، وتقليص الفجوة الرقمية وتحويلها إلى فرص رقمية.

iv) prepare a report on the results of this activity to be presented for consideration and appropriate action for the second phase of WSIS in Tunis in 2005.

It also urged the Ministerial Follow-up Committee of the 6th ICIM to prepare a draft information society charter and plan of action to be submitted on behalf of Member States at the second phase of the World Summit on Information Society.
