At the April 2007 meeting of the Standing Committee on Victim Assistance and Socio-Economic Reintegration, 19 of the 24 relevant States Parties provided updates on the application of relevant provisions of the Nairobi Action Plan.

Moreover, clear and comprehensive direction regarding priorities for the ISU in 2009 was derived from the Nairobi Action Plan, which was adopted by the States Parties on 3 December 2004 at the First Review Conference, and the Dead Sea Progress Report, which was warmly welcomed by the States Parties on 28 November 2008 at the Ninth Meeting of the States Parties (9MSP).
