14. Part Four of the Courts Act of 1993 (Act 459) provides in section 56, on the criminal jurisdiction of the Courts, that:

4.3 After explaining the operation of section 108 of the Courts' Act (governing the disqualification of jurors), the State party points out that it is not uncommon for jurors to have negative feelings towards the defendant in a criminal case, but that this does not imply that they are incapable of giving the defendant a fair hearing.
٤-٣ وبعد إيضاح كيفية تطبيق المادة ١٠٨ من قانون المحاكم )المنظمة ﻹبطال أهلية المحلفين(، تشير الدولة الطرف إلى أنه ليس من غير الشائع أن يكون للمحلفين آراء سلبية إزاء المدعى عليه في قضية جنائية، ولكن هذا لا يعني ضمنا أنهم عاجزون عن الاستماع بروح اﻹنصاف إلى المدعى عليه.

Aliens and stateless persons in Estonia have the right to protection by the courts, equal to the right for Estonian citizens, if not otherwise established in international treaties entered into by the republic of Estonia (article 4 (2) of the Courts Act).

والمادة 6 من قانون المحاكم ترسي المساواة أمام القانون والمحاكم على النحو التالي: " جميع مواطني جمهورية أوزبكستان متساوون أمام القانون والمحاكم دون تمييز على أساس الجنس أو العنصر أو الأصل الإثني أو اللغة أو الدين أو الأصل الاجتماعي أو المعتقد أو الوضع الفردي أو الاجتماعي " .

122. The openness of court proceedings is established in article 6 of the Law on Courts, which states that court sessions shall be public.
٢٢١ - وتنص المادة ٦ من قانون المحاكم على انفتاح سير الإجراءات في المحاكم، إذ تنص على أن تكون جلسات المحاكم علنية.
