37 - وتعرَّف الالتزامات في المعايير المحاسبية للأمم المتحدة بأنها: " قيم طلبات الشراء الصادرة والعقود الممنوحة والخدمات المنفذة وغير ذلك من المعاملات التي تنطوي على تكلفة محمّلة على موارد الفترة المالية الجارية وسيلزم سدادها خلال الفترة ذاتها أو فترة مقبلة " .

الالتزامات غير المصفاة هي مبالغ تتصل بطلبات الشراء المقدمة، أو العقود أو الخدمات الممنوحة أو الأقساط المستحقة للشركاء المنفذين والتي لم تتسلم المفوضية مقابلها من البضائع والخدمات في نهاية الفترة المالية، والتي تشمل مصروفات على حساب موارد الفترة المالية الجارية والتي يلزم دفعها خلال فترة مالية لاحقة.
