It is with profound indignation that I draw your attention, and through you that of the States Members of the United Nations, to a gross violation of international law and of the personal safety and freedom of movement of Mr. Evo Morales Ayma, President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia.
اسمحوا لي أن أحيطكم علما، وأبلّغَ عن طريقكم جميع الدول الأعضاء في منظمة الأمم المتحدة، باستيائي البالغ من الانتهاك الصارخ للقانون الدولي وللأمن الشخصي وحرية تنقل رئيس دولة بوليفيا المتعددة القوميات، السيد إيفو موراليس آيما.

President Morales Ayma (spoke in Spanish): Once again, we meet at the United Nations to share concerns, problems and experiences and to discuss the various ways in which we can serve our peoples worldwide.

I have the honour to transmit herewith the conclusions adopted at the first Peoples' World Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth, held from 20 to 22 April 2010 in Cochabamba and convened by President Evo Morales Ayma of the Plurinational State of Bolivia (see annexes I and II).
يشرفني أن أحيل إليكم طيه نسخة من النتائج التي اعتمدها المؤتمر العالمي للشعوب المعني بتغير المناخ وحقوق أمنا الأرض، الذي عقد في الفترة من 20 إلى 22 نيسان/أبريل 2010 في مدينة كوتشابامبا، بناء على دعوة من رئيس دولة بوليفيا المتعددة القوميات، إيفو موراليس آيما (انظر المرفقين الأول والثاني).

President Morales Ayma (spoke in Spanish): This meeting of the United Nations is being held at a time when there is a rebellion of peoples throughout the world, a rebellion against poverty and destitution and against the effects of climate change, against the privatization policies that have caused the financial crisis.
الرئيس موراليس آيما (تكلم بالإسبانية): تعقد الجمعية العامة هذه الجلسة في وقت تتمرد فيه شعوب في مختلف أنحاء العالم، تتمرد ضد الفقر والعوز، وضد الآثار المترتبة على تغيّر المناخ، وضد سياسات الخصخصة التي تسببت في الأزمة المالية.

The Heads of State or Government also welcomed the decision of the Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), appointing H.E. Mr. Juan Evo Morales Ayma, President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, as Special Ambassador to FAO for the International Year of Quinoa, to be observed by the United Nations in 2013, recognizing his leadership and commitment in the fight against hunger and malnutrition.
